Understand Primed Rifle Ammo Mutation
Useful when…
- Convert Secondary ammo pickups for an assault rifle.
- Use a partial rank when a smaller conversion rate is sufficient for your capacity and resource budget.
Effect and compatibility
At rank 0, it converts Secondary ammo pickups to 8% of Ammo Pick Up; at rank 5, 50%; and at rank 10, 92%. It is a standard Assault Rifle mod with Naramon polarity and listed base drain 0. It cannot be equipped with Rifle Ammo Mutation.
Fusion and application
The mod has 10 ranks. Listed example rank costs are 40 Endo and 1,932 Credits from rank 0 to 1, 1,280 Endo and 61,824 Credits from rank 5 to 6, and 20,480 Endo and 989,184 Credits from rank 9 to 10. Its base drain is 0, but it still uses a standard mod slot and requires fusion resources to improve its conversion rate.
Compare the other candidates
Rifle Ammo Mutation reaches 50% conversion at rank 5 and is listed as an Exilus mod with base drain 2. Deft Tempo is a Conclave variant that improves mobility after a headshot; Guided Ordnance improves accuracy while aiming after a hit. Those effects do not perform the same ammo conversion. The 92% figure is the stated conversion amount, not a guarantee about how often pickups appear.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Rank 10 requires substantial late-rank resources.
- It uses a standard mod slot even though its listed base drain is 0.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Assuming the mod converts every ammo pickup type; the stated effect names Secondary ammo pickups.
- Treating the standard slot as an Exilus slot because the comparison mod uses Exilus.
