Effect and fit
The mod increases pistol critical damage: 10% at rank 0, 60% at rank 5, and 110% at rank 10. It is a standard pistol mod with Madurai polarity and a maximum rank of 10.
Rank investment
Fusion raises the critical-damage bonus, but high ranks are costly. The supplied examples list 1,280 Endo and 61,824 Credits for ranks 5 to 6, and 20,480 Endo and 989,184 Credits for ranks 9 to 10. Consider the rank investment alongside the weapon's ability to make use of critical damage and the resources available.
Alternatives and exclusions
Target Cracker is the standard counterpart, listed with up to 60% critical damage; Flawed Target Cracker is listed at 30%. Primed Target Cracker cannot be equipped with either. Accelerated Isotope provides Radiation and fire rate in a standard slot, so it offers different bonuses rather than critical damage.
