Understand Provoked
Useful when…
- A Warframe setup specifically intended to gain damage while in Bleedout.
- Comparing the standard mod with its weaker Flawed version.
Effect and condition
Provoked grants +110% Damage during Bleedout at maximum rank. Rank 0 grants +10%, and rank 5 grants +60%. Its listed benefit is state-dependent: it applies during Bleedout, rather than as a general damage increase.
Fit and rank costs
Provoked is a standard Warframe mod with Madurai polarity, base drain 4, and maximum rank 10. Fusion costs rise sharply at the top end: the listed cost from rank 9 to 10 is 10,240 Endo and 494,592 Credits. Because the effect only applies during Bleedout, full investment is difficult to justify unless that conditional benefit is central to the setup.
Related options
Flawed Provoked is a weaker, lower-drain standard-slot variant: its maximum listed bonus is +20% Damage during Bleedout, and it is explicitly incompatible with Provoked. Adaptation instead grants resistance to a damage type after taking damage, stacking up to 90%; it addresses incoming damage rather than Provoked’s Bleedout damage bonus. Adept Surge is a Conclave Exilus mod with a different effect and variant. None of these descriptions make them direct replacements for every use.
Acquisition
Listed sources include Rotation B rewards at several Survival and Excavation nodes, as well as Ancient Infested, Infested Corpus, and Infested Grineer. The listed Rotation B entries each give 6.67%; the three enemy entries each give 7.52%.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The damage bonus is limited to Bleedout.
- The standard mod’s late ranks require substantial Endo and Credits.
- Provoked and Flawed Provoked are explicitly incompatible.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Treating its damage bonus as active outside Bleedout.
- Equipping Provoked with Flawed Provoked, which are explicitly incompatible.
- Spending heavily on the final ranks without a use for the Bleedout condition.
