Understand Raider Matrix
Useful when…
- Support Archwing speed, damage, shields, and armor in Railjack activity.
- Improve the speed and damage of captured Crewships.
Effects and rank progression
At rank 0 it grants +2% Archwing Speed and Damage, +4% Archwing Shield and Armor, and +7% Captured Crewship Speed and Damage. At rank 5 those values are +15%, +24%, and +45%, respectively. Each pair of linked stats shares the listed percentage for that unit.
Aura slot and investment
This Railjack Aura has Madurai polarity, base drain -2, and a maximum rank of 5. The listed rank 0→1 step costs 20 Endo and 966 Credits; rank 4→5 costs 320 Endo and 15,456 Credits. Rank it when the higher support bonuses are worth the increasing fusion cost; the aura's negative base drain is part of its listed slot data.
Choose by the unit you want to support
Indomitable Matrix focuses on breach chance, shield recharge during breach, and armor below 36% Hull. Ironclad Matrix adds Railjack Hull, Armor, maximum Shields, and Shield Recharge. Onslaught Matrix lists turret damage while at 100% Hull, a chance to reflect damage while above 80% Shields, and Battle Mod Efficiency. These serve different Railjack needs and do not duplicate Raider Matrix's Archwing and captured Crewship bonuses.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Its bonuses target Archwings and captured Crewships rather than directly listing Railjack survivability or turret damage.
- Higher ranks increase all listed bonuses but have sharply higher fusion costs.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Reading the Archwing bonuses as direct Railjack ship bonuses.
- Expecting Raider Matrix to provide the breach, hull, or turret effects listed on other Matrix mods.
