Understand Recover
Useful when…
- Considering a kill-triggered Heal Rate effect for a Conclave Assault Rifle.
- Comparing its kill condition with rifle mods whose effects trigger on reload, hit, or headshot.
What happens on a kill
A kill activates the Heal Rate bonus for a limited time. At rank 0, it is +3.8 for 3 seconds; at rank 2, +11.3 for 8 seconds; and at rank 3, +15 for 10 seconds. The mod also reduces Health Orb benefit by 6.2%, 18.7%, and 25% at those ranks, respectively. The listed Heal Rate figures do not specify an amount of health restored.
Fit and trigger comparison
Recover is a standard-slot Conclave mod for Assault Rifles, with Vazarin polarity and base drain 10. Its kill trigger differs from Spring-Loaded Chamber, which grants fire rate while aiming after a reload, and Guided Ordnance, which grants accuracy while aiming after a hit. Deft Tempo is also a Conclave rifle mod, but its listed mobility bonus triggers on a headshot.
Rank investment
Recover reaches rank 3. The listed fusion steps cost 30 Endo and 1,449 Credits from rank 0 to 1, 60 Endo and 2,898 Credits from 1 to 2, and 120 Endo and 5,796 Credits from 2 to 3. Higher ranks increase both Heal Rate and duration, but also increase the Health Orb reduction, up to 25% at rank 3.
Practical limitation
The bonus depends on getting a kill and lasts only for its stated duration. Account for the accompanying Health Orb reduction when weighing the effect; the listed Heal Rate values alone do not tell you how much health will be restored.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Heal Rate activates only on a kill and expires after a limited duration.
- The Health Orb reduction grows with rank, reaching 25% at rank 3.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Treating the Heal Rate value as a directly stated amount of health restored.
- Ignoring the Health Orb reduction when considering the kill-triggered effect.
- Assuming a Conclave mod is a standard-variant rifle mod.
