Understand Reflection
Useful when…
- Use in a blocking-focused Warframe setup when on-block stagger and stun effects are useful.
- Consider it when you want the standard version's control effects rather than Flawed Reflection's channeling-block damage reflection.
Effect and trigger
At maximum rank, Reflection gives +40% chance to Stagger on Block and +10% chance to Stun on Block. Rank 0 provides +6.7% stagger chance and +1.7% stun chance; rank 3 provides +26.6% and +6.7%. Both effects require blocking, and the listed values are chances rather than guaranteed control.
Where it fits
Reflection is a standard Warframe mod with Vazarin polarity and a base drain of 2. It uses a standard slot and its effect only applies on block, so it is most relevant when you actually block attacks. Its listed effects are control chances; the mod description does not say it returns incoming damage or reduces damage taken.
Rank costs
The mod ranks to 5. The supplied examples list 20 Endo and 966 credits for 0→1, 80 Endo and 3,864 credits for 2→3, and 320 Endo and 15,456 credits for 4→5. Higher ranks raise both control chances, so an intermediate rank offers less control for a lower listed cost. The provided source entries include Corrupted Ancient and multiple Spy mission Rotation A and C rewards.
Alternatives have different effects
Flawed Reflection has a different effect: it reflects a listed percentage of damage taken when blocking attacks while channeling, reaching +48% at its maximum rank. Reflection and Flawed Reflection are explicitly incompatible. Adaptation grants damage-type resistance after being damaged, while Adept Surge is a Conclave Exilus mod with +10% Mobility and -25 Health; neither duplicates Reflection's on-block control effect.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Its effects require blocking and are chance-based.
- It provides control chances rather than damage reflection or resistance.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Reading the name as a damage-reflection effect; the standard mod lists stagger and stun chances on block.
- Assuming the stagger or stun is guaranteed whenever an attack is blocked.
