Rifle Amp GUIDE

Understand Rifle Amp

Useful when…

  • Give the squad a Rifle Damage bonus through an Aura slot.
  • Support a squad using rifles when damage is more valuable than a weapon-specific ammo recovery Aura.

Effect and scope

At rank 0, Rifle Amp grants the squad +4.5% Rifle Damage; rank 3 grants +18%; and rank 5 grants +27%. It is an Aura effect for the squad, not a bonus limited to the wearer. The listed effect is specifically Rifle Damage, so do not assume it improves sniper rifles or other weapon classes.

Slot and ranking

Rifle Amp is an Uncommon standard Aura with Madurai polarity and maximum rank 5. Its base drain is -2, and Aura mods use the Aura slot. Ranking increases the squad bonus to +27%; the listed rank 4 to 5 step costs 320 Endo and 15,456 Credits. Decide how much to invest based on whether the squad uses rifles often enough to benefit from the damage bonus.

Choosing an Aura purpose

Dead Eye instead grants +52.5% Sniper Rifle Damage to the squad, so it is a weapon-class-specific alternative for sniper use. Rifle Scavenger and Sniper Scavenger grant ammo recovery for their respective weapon classes rather than damage. These alternatives have different purposes; choose according to the squad’s weapon class and whether damage or ammunition recovery is the need.

Limitations and tradeoffs

  • The benefit is restricted to rifles, so it may contribute little when the squad relies on other weapon classes.
  • It uses the Aura slot, where ammo recovery or sniper-specific damage may fit the squad’s needs better.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Applying the rifle bonus to sniper rifles or other weapon classes without support from its stated effect.
  • Overlooking that the effect benefits the squad and occupies an Aura slot.
