Understand Sanctuary
Useful when…
- Equip it on a compatible robotic companion when a shield during ally revives is useful.
- Invest in ranks if the larger revive shield justifies the rising fusion costs.
When does Sanctuary activate?
Sanctuary creates a shield around the player when they are reviving a fallen ally. Its shield has 300 Health at rank 0, 1,050 at rank 5, and 1,800 at rank 10. The effect is tied to the revive, so it does not describe general protection outside that situation.
Who can equip it, and what does it offer?
Sanctuary is a standard Robotic mod with Vazarin polarity and base drain 6, for use on a compatible robotic companion. Its defensive effect centers on the player during an ally revive. Other listed Robotic mods serve different functions: Guardian boosts the owner's shield when it runs out; Coolant Leak triggers a radial Cold blast when multiple enemies are nearby; Manifold Bond lets companion Precept Mods apply status effects from companion weapons, and separately reduces Companion Ability cooldowns by 3 seconds after kills on enemies with three or more unique Status Effects.
How should you weigh rank investment?
The mod has ranks 0 through 10. The listed cost from rank 0 to 1 is 30 Endo and 1,449 Credits; from rank 5 to 6 it is 960 Endo and 46,368 Credits; from rank 9 to 10 it is 15,360 Endo and 741,888 Credits. Rank 5 already provides a 1,050 Health shield, while the final rank raises it to 1,800 at a much higher listed step cost. Further investment depends on how much value you place on the stronger revive shield.
Where is it listed to drop?
Recorded sources are Bombard, Narmer Bombard, Tusk Bombard, and Tusk Mortar Bombard at 0.01% each, and Kuva Bombard at 0.02%. These snapshot entries do not establish current availability.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Its shield is tied to reviving a fallen ally.
- Higher ranks increase shield Health, with substantial listed fusion costs at the upper ranks.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Expecting Sanctuary to provide its revive shield when you are not reviving a fallen ally.
