Understand Seeking Shuriken
Useful when…
- Equip on Ash when Shuriken hits can apply armor reduction to targets.
- Rank it when longer duration and stronger armor reduction are valuable to the build.
Effect and conditions
This Rare standard augment is compatible with Ash and has Zenurik polarity. It changes Shuriken: at rank 0, hits reduce enemy Armor by 35% for 2 seconds; at rank 2, by 55% for 6 seconds; and at rank 3, by 70% for 8 seconds. The effect is tied to Shuriken hits and applies to enemies hit.
Rank and capacity
Seeking Shuriken has maximum rank 3 and base drain 6. The listed rank steps cost 30, 60, then 120 Endo, and 1,449, 2,898, then 5,796 Credits. Ranking increases both the reduction and duration, so rank it according to how consistently you can land Shuriken hits and how long you need the effect to last. Its standard slot and Zenurik polarity should be considered when planning Ash's capacity.
Other Ash augments
Rising Storm modifies Blade Storm combo behavior and duration, while Smoke Shadow modifies Smoke Screen to conceal nearby allies and grant critical chance while invisible. These affect different Ash abilities and do not provide Seeking Shuriken's armor reduction. Tear Gas is specifically a Conclave Smoke Screen augment, with a blinding effect; it is a different variant and function.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The effect requires Shuriken to hit enemies.
- Armor reduction and duration are lower at early ranks.
- Uses mod capacity that could go to other Ash or Warframe mods.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Assuming the augment affects enemies that Shuriken does not hit.
- Confusing this Shuriken augment with Ash's Smoke Screen or Blade Storm augments.
- Leaving it unranked when the stronger reduction and duration are needed.
