Understand Rising Storm
Useful when…
- Adding counter progress through Blade Storm attacks.
- Extending Combo Duration by 10 seconds while using the augment.
What does Rising Storm add?
At maximum rank, Blade Storm attacks increase the Ability Combo Counter by 4, and the mod passively grants +10 seconds of Combo Duration. At rank 0 the attack increase is 1; at rank 2 it is 3. The listed passive duration bonus remains +10 seconds across these ranks.
Who can equip it and what does it cost?
Rising Storm is a standard Ash mod with Zenurik polarity, base drain 6, and maximum rank 3. The listed fusion costs are 30 Endo and 1,449 Credits for 0→1, 60 Endo and 2,898 Credits for 1→2, and 120 Endo and 5,796 Credits for 2→3.
When is ranking worthwhile?
Higher ranks improve the counter gained from Blade Storm attacks, while the passive +10-second Combo Duration is unchanged. Prioritize ranks when the additional counter from Blade Storm matters to your setup; otherwise the cost increases without improving that passive duration bonus.
How does it compare with Ash's other augments?
Teleport Rush enhances Teleport and can extend Smoke Screen through target executions; Seeking Shuriken reduces enemy Armor after Shuriken hits; Smoke Shadow conceals nearby allies and grants Critical Chance while invisible. These affect different Ash abilities and do not duplicate Rising Storm's Blade Storm counter effect.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Uses a standard Warframe mod slot with base drain 6.
- Its counter contribution depends on Blade Storm attacks; its fixed duration benefit is +10 seconds.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Expecting the +10 seconds of Combo Duration to increase with rank.
- Treating the counter gain as a general bonus from all Ash abilities instead of Blade Storm attacks.
