Shock Collar

Claw weapon dual-stat mod

Released Nov 8, 2018

Shock Collar adds Electricity damage and status chance to Claws. Use it when you want both listed bonuses on compatible Claws and do not need one of the specialized claw elemental-conversion effects.

Shock Collar GUIDE

Understand Shock Collar

Useful when…

  • Adding Electricity and status chance to a Claws weapon configuration.
  • Using a low-rank dual-stat option when full-rank fusion is not yet worthwhile.

Effects and fit

Shock Collar is a standard Rare Claws mod with Madurai polarity and base drain 4. It grants +15% Electricity and +15% Status Chance at rank 0, rising to +60% of each at rank 3. It applies to Claws, not a Warframe or ordinary melee weapon slot.

Choosing a rank

Ranks 0 and 2 provide +15%/+45% to both stats; rank 3 reaches +60%. The listed fusion steps cost 30, 60, and 120 Endo plus 1,449, 2,898, and 5,796 Credits. Since the last step raises each bonus by 15 percentage points, weigh that gain against the resources you need elsewhere. The listed base drain is 4; the final configuration cost depends on the slot and build details not specified here.

When a conversion mod fits better

Shocking Claws, Burning Claws, and Chilling Claws each add a much larger listed elemental bonus and status chance at their own maximum ranks, and each converts all elemental damage from the claws to its named element. They serve a distinct conversion purpose; Shock Collar merely adds Electricity and status chance. Choose based on whether you want the conversion behavior and element, rather than assuming the mods are interchangeable.

Limitations and tradeoffs

  • Rank 3 maximizes both listed bonuses but costs more Endo and Credits than stopping at an earlier rank.
  • Does not convert all claw elemental damage to Electricity; the specialized conversion mod has that explicit effect.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Treating Shock Collar as an elemental conversion mod.
  • Installing it in a Warframe or regular melee weapon slot instead of a Claws slot.
