Understand Shredder
Useful when…
- Add Slash damage to a compatible shotgun.
- Use the Naramon polarity when it matches the weapon configuration.
Effect and fit
Shredder gives +15% Slash at rank 0, +60% at rank 3, and +90% at rank 5. It is a standard shotgun mod with Naramon polarity, base drain 4, and maximum rank 5.
Rank investment and alternatives
The listed rank 4-to-5 fusion step costs 160 Endo and 7,728 Credits. Flawed Shredder is a lower-drain flawed version with a +12% maximum and is explicitly incompatible with Shredder. Accelerated Blast instead provides fire rate and Puncture; Amalgam Shotgun Barrage provides fire rate and revive speed. These address other stats and are not direct Slash replacements.
Practical limit
The listed +90% applies to Slash, not final weapon damage. Its value depends on whether the Slash bonus earns a place alongside the other mods in the build.
