Understand Soaring Strike
Useful when…
- Conclave bow setups that can maintain airborne firing.
Effect and conditions
At rank 0, Soaring Strike provides +12.5% fire rate while airborne; rank 2 provides +37.5%, and rank 3 provides +50%. The bonus is conditional on being airborne.
Fit and investment
This is a Rare Conclave bow mod for a standard slot, with Madurai polarity, 10 base drain, and a maximum rank of 3. Each fusion step raises the airborne bonus; the listed steps cost 30/1,449, 60/2,898, and 120/5,796 Endo/Credits. Invest further when the conditional fire rate matters to your use of the bow.
Condition-aware alternatives
Plan B instead grants a secondary weapon +20% fire rate for 3 seconds on hit, so it serves a different weapon and trigger condition. Feathered Arrows trades -20% damage for +60% projectile speed, while Arrow Mutation converts secondary-ammo pickups to 50% of an ammo pickup and uses an Exilus slot. These are different functions, not direct replacements for airborne bow fire rate.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The fire-rate bonus applies only while airborne.
- Ranks cost increasing Endo and Credits.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Assuming the bonus applies while grounded.
- Treating the secondary-fire-rate, ammo-conversion, or projectile-speed mods as equivalent bow fire-rate effects.
