Understand Split Flights
Useful when…
- Use on a non-AOE bow compatible with the mod.
- Build multishot through successive hits when the accuracy penalty is acceptable.
Trigger and tradeoff
At rank 5, each hit grants 100% multishot and applies −180% accuracy for 2 seconds; the effect stacks up to four times. At rank 0, it grants 16.7% multishot with −30% accuracy for 0.333 seconds. It is explicitly limited to non-AOE bows and cannot be equipped with Split Chamber, Flawed Split Chamber, or Galvanized Chamber.
Investment and equipment fit
Split Flights is a standard Madurai bow mod with base drain 10 and a rank cap of 5. Listed costs are 30, 60, 120, 240, and 480 Endo, plus credits increasing from 1,449 to 23,184 per step. Rank increases both its multishot bonus and the strength and duration of its accuracy penalty, so higher rank is a tradeoff rather than an unconditional improvement.
Alternatives serve other purposes
Arrow Mutation converts secondary ammo pickups to 50% of ammo pickup and occupies an Exilus slot; it does not supply multishot. Feathered Arrows is a Conclave mod with projectile speed and damage effects. Plan B is a Conclave mod that increases secondary weapon fire rate after a hit. These candidates differ in mode and effect, rather than replacing Split Flights' on-hit bow multishot mechanic.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The stacking multishot comes with a large, stacking accuracy penalty.
- It has base drain 10 and excludes three named multishot alternatives.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Do not use it on an AOE bow; its effect is specified for non-AOE bows.
- Do not overlook the accuracy reduction or attempt to combine it with the three incompatible multishot mods.
