Understand Steady Hands
Useful when…
- Reduce recoil on a compatible pistol.
- Use it when recoil control is useful for your pistol handling.
Effect and ranks
Recoil reduction is 15% at rank 0, 60% at rank 3, and 90% at rank 5. The listed effect is recoil reduction; it does not state a damage or accuracy bonus.
Compatibility and alternatives
This is a standard Pistol Exilus mod with Naramon polarity and 6 base drain. Primed Steady Hands is explicitly incompatible. Air Recon is a Conclave Exilus mod that reduces zoom while Aim Gliding; Accelerated Isotope is a standard-slot mod with Radiation and Fire Rate bonuses, so neither has the same listed recoil effect.
Final rank step and listed sources
The rank 4-to-5 step costs 480 Endo and 23,184 Credits; this is the cost of that step, not the total cost to reach rank 5. Listed sources include Spy mission Rotation A rewards and Duviri/Endless tiers. The listed Spy Rotation A chances range from 13.33% to 14.29%; the two Duviri/Endless entries list 1.03% and 1.49%.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Uses a pistol Exilus slot and lists recoil reduction rather than damage.
- Cannot be equipped alongside Primed Steady Hands.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Treating recoil reduction as a listed damage or accuracy bonus.
- Trying to equip it with Primed Steady Hands.
