Understand Territorial Aggression
Useful when…
- Adding repeated chance-based Kavat attacks in a fixed area.
Effect and scaling
At rank 0, the Kavat stakes territory with a 3 m radius for 5 seconds. At rank 2, the area is 5 m for 15 seconds; at rank 3, it is 6 m for 15 seconds. Each second, an enemy within the area has a 30% chance of being attacked by a shadow Kavat. It is a standard Kavat mod with Penjaga polarity and maximum rank 3.
Investment and use
Fusion costs are 20 Endo and 966 credits for 0→1, 40 and 1,932 for 1→2, and 80 and 3,864 for 2→3. Ranks 1 and 2 improve the territory radius and duration; rank 3 expands the radius further while the listed duration remains 15 seconds. It is most relevant when enemies are within that area during its active period; the chance is per second, not a guaranteed attack each second.
Other Kavat options
Fear Sense has a longer-range weakness-sensing effect that boosts Kavat attacks and can cause knockdowns. Pounce is a direct pounce that deals damage and stuns. Tek Assault provides a chance to ignore lethal damage for a short period. These support different purposes from Territorial Aggression's localized, chance-based attacks.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Its attack chance applies only to enemies inside the territory and while the effect lasts.
- The shadow Kavat attack is chance-based rather than guaranteed each second.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Reading the 30% chance as a guaranteed attack every second.
- Expecting attacks on enemies outside the marked radius or after the duration ends.
