What does Toxic Barrage add?
At rank 0 the mod grants 15% Toxin and 15% Status Chance; at rank 2 it grants 45% of each; at rank 3 it grants 60% of each. It is a standard shotgun mod with Madurai polarity and base drain 4.
Is maximum rank worth the cost?
The rank track goes to rank 3. Each rank adds both listed benefits, with fusion costs rising from 30 Endo and 1,449 Credits for the first step to 120 Endo and 5,796 Credits for the last. Rank it according to the added Toxin and status chance you want for that shotgun and the capacity available.
How do the alternatives differ?
Frigid Blast is another dual-stat shotgun mod, but it gives Cold rather than Toxin alongside Status Chance. Flawed Shotgun Savvy gives Status Chance only and is a Flawed variant. Galvanized Savvy has a separate on-kill direct-damage effect tied to status types affecting the target; it is a different investment and condition, not merely another elemental pairing.

Limitations and tradeoffs
- The mod provides Toxin and Status Chance together, but uses a standard shotgun slot and base drain 4.
- Max rank takes more Endo and Credits than leaving it partially fused.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Do not confuse its Toxin bonus with Frigid Blast's Cold bonus.
- Do not treat the supplied status-chance percentage as a final status chance for a weapon; it is a mod bonus.
