Understand Turret Velocity
Useful when…
- Plexus configurations focused on Railjack turret handling.
- Turret use where both listed range and projectile speed are relevant.
What does it change?
At maximum rank, Turret Velocity adds +25.3% Turret Range and +55% Turret Projectile Speed. Rank 0 lists +2.3% range and +5% projectile speed; rank 5 lists +13.8% and +30%. These effects apply to turrets; they are not listed as Ordnance or Railjack movement bonuses.
Plexus fit and rank costs
This is a standard Plexus mod with Madurai polarity, base drain 6, and maximum rank 10. Fusion becomes costly at high ranks: the listed step from rank 5 to 6 costs 960 Endo and 46,368 Credits, while rank 9 to 10 costs 15,360 Endo and 741,888 Credits. The range and speed bonuses rise with rank, so choose investment in light of the large later costs and available Plexus capacity.
Related Plexus choices
Ordnance Velocity increases Ordnance Projectile Speed by 60%, a distinct effect from turret projectile speed. Conic Nozzle increases Railjack Speed by 25.5%, affecting ship speed rather than turret handling. Crimson Fugue increases turret damage by 27.5% per enemy destroyed for 8 seconds, up to 5 stacks, so its benefit depends on kills. These mods address different needs and are not direct equivalents.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The mod consumes 6 base drain and competes for standard Plexus capacity.
- The top ranks have very high listed Endo and Credit costs.
- It affects turret range and projectile speed, not Ordnance speed or Railjack movement speed.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Applying its projectile-speed bonus to Ordnance rather than turrets.
- Treating turret range as Railjack movement speed.
- Ignoring the steep fusion costs of later ranks.
