Understand Vigorous Swap
Useful when…
- Weapon-swapping play where attacks can follow each equip promptly.
- A standard Warframe slot is available and the Naramon polarity suits the build.
What triggers the bonus?
The effect begins on equip and lasts 3 seconds. At rank 0 it grants +15% Damage; at rank 5, +90%; and at rank 10, +165%. The stated effect is a listed Damage bonus, not a calculation of final weapon damage.
Slot and investment
This Rare standard Warframe mod has Naramon polarity, 2 base drain, and a maximum rank of 10. Ranking it increases the bonus, but the listed fusion costs rise substantially at higher ranks: the example cost for ranks 9 to 10 is 15,360 Endo and 741,888 Credits. Consider stopping short of max if that brief buff is useful but the final increment is not worth those resources to your build.
When another mod serves a different purpose
Synth Reflex is an Exilus mod that grants +40% Bullet Jump for 2 seconds on equip, while Adaptation builds damage-type resistance when damaged. Neither provides Vigorous Swap's timed damage bonus. Choose based on whether the desired effect is movement, conditional resistance, or damage after swapping.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The +165% bonus is available only for 3 seconds after equipping.
- The standard slot competes with other Warframe mods.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Expecting the buff to persist beyond its 3-second duration.
- Treating the listed bonus as a guaranteed final damage value.
