Understand Vitality
Useful when…
- Add health to a Warframe that relies on its Health pool for survival.
- Use its Vazarin polarity as a natural fit when the slot has matching polarity.
Effect and fit
Vitality is a standard Warframe mod with Vazarin polarity. Its health bonus rises from 9% at rank 0 to 55% at rank 5 and 100% at rank 10. It occupies a standard slot; it cannot be equipped together with Archon Vitality, Umbral Vitality, Flawed Vitality, or Parasitic Vitality.
Ranking and capacity
The mod has 10 upgrade ranks and base drain 2. Ranking from 0 to 5 gives 55% Health; max rank gives 100%. Higher ranks also require greater investment: the listed rank 9→10 step costs 5,120 Endo and 247,296 Credits, compared with 320 Endo and 15,456 Credits for rank 5→6. Stop at a rank that gives useful health while leaving capacity for the rest of the build.
Alternatives and practical limits
Archon Vitality also grants 100% Health and additionally makes status effects from Heat-damage abilities apply twice; its listed base drain is 6, compared with Vitality’s 2. Umbral Vitality lists 100% Health and 11% Tau Resistance, uses Umbral polarity, and has base drain 6. These alternatives have different effects and capacity/polarity considerations. Vitality is a health increase; do not treat it as damage reduction or assume it solves every survival weakness.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Higher rank increases the Health bonus but takes progressively more Endo and Credits.
- Uses a standard slot and competes with other Warframe mods for capacity.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Equipping Vitality alongside one of its explicitly incompatible Vitality variants.
- Maxing the mod without considering the Endo, Credits, and capacity required.
