Miner
Miner skill is tied to the mining labor and profession. Miners dig tunnels, channels, stairs, and ramps, and can remove stairs and ramps. Mining requires a pick; the skill affects mining speed.
How it works
Mining supports underground construction and work involving stone. The pick is a necessary tool, while the miner’s experience influences how quickly the labor is done. The skill also applies when fighting with a pick, though a dwarf busy mining will not generally use the pick in combat unless forced.
