Understand Berserker
Useful when…
- A conditional CRIT Rate option when the wearer is frequently below 70% HP.
- Early damage setups that benefit from CRIT Rate without relying on a particular element.
What are the HP conditions?
Two pieces grant 12% CRIT Rate. With four pieces, the wearer gains an additional 24% CRIT Rate while their HP is below 70%. The additional bonus therefore depends on the wearer crossing that threshold; the two-piece bonus does not list an HP condition.
When can it be useful?
The set can help when the wearer spends meaningful time below 70% HP and can use extra CRIT Rate there. It is not a universal always-on CRIT setup: only the two-piece bonus is unconditional. Consider whether the character's HP state in the content you play will allow the four-piece bonus to contribute consistently.
How do the comparison sets differ?
Blizzard Strayer provides Cryo DMG and conditional CRIT Rate when attacking Cryo-affected opponents, with another increase against Frozen opponents. A Day Carved From Rising Winds grants ATK after one of several attacks hits, and adds CRIT Rate only if the wearer has completed Witch's Homework. Disenchantment in Deep Shadow ties its CRIT Rate to attacking opponents affected by Superconduct or Stellar-Conduct. Each set depends on a different condition; none duplicates Berserker's below-70%-HP trigger.
What can go wrong?
Do not count the extra 24% CRIT Rate while HP is at or above 70%. Building around that amount can leave the wearer with only the two-piece bonus whenever the threshold is not met.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The larger CRIT Rate bonus requires HP below 70%.
- Its strongest listed benefit is conditional rather than continuously available.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Counting the four-piece 24% CRIT Rate when the wearer is at or above 70% HP.
- Confusing its HP trigger with the enemy-state triggers on other CRIT-oriented sets.
