Understand Disenchantment in Deep Shadow
Useful when…
- A damage build that frequently attacks Superconduct- or Stellar-Conduct-affected opponents.
- A two-piece ATK bonus when combining pieces from different sets.
What do the bonuses do?
Two pieces grant 18% ATK. Four pieces increase Superconduct Reaction DMG by 80% and Stellar-Conduct Reaction DMG by 40%. When the wielder attacks an opponent affected by either reaction, that attack gains 16% CRIT Rate. The reaction-damage increases and attack CRIT condition are separate effects: the CRIT bonus requires the target to be affected when attacked.
When is the four-piece effect useful?
It is most relevant when the wielder can trigger the specified reactions and keep attacking while enemies remain affected by them. The bonus is conditional on the opponent’s state, so it is less dependable if the setup does not apply those reactions consistently. The set information does not specify a duration for the affected state; plan around the actual reaction uptime in play.
How does it compare with other options?
Blizzard Strayer instead gives 15% Cryo DMG at two pieces and up to 40% CRIT Rate against Frozen opponents at four pieces, so its CRIT condition is Cryo or Frozen rather than Superconduct or Stellar-Conduct. A Day Carved From Rising Winds also has a two-piece 18% ATK bonus, but its four-piece effect grants a timed ATK increase after hits and requires Witch’s Homework for the added CRIT Rate. These sets serve different triggers; the listed effects do not establish a universal substitute.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The four-piece value depends on reaction setup and continued attacks against affected targets.
- The 16% CRIT Rate applies only to attacks against opponents affected by the named reactions.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Assuming the 16% CRIT Rate is unconditional; the opponent must be affected by Superconduct or Stellar-Conduct.
- Treating the reaction-damage bonuses as general damage increases for other reactions.
