Understand Brave Heart
Useful when…
- An early attack-oriented set when the wearer can benefit from ATK.
- Taking advantage of increased damage against opponents above 50% HP.
How do the bonuses work?
Two pieces increase ATK by 18%. With four pieces, damage against opponents with more than 50% HP is increased by 30%. The condition is based on the opponent's HP, so it does not describe a persistent damage bonus against a target throughout an encounter.
When should you consider it?
It can suit situations where an opponent remains above half HP for a meaningful part of the damage window. The four-piece benefit becomes unavailable once the target reaches 50% HP or lower, while the two-piece ATK increase has no target-HP condition. Evaluate the set as an opening-phase bonus rather than assuming the full effect lasts for every hit.
What do the comparisons specialize in?
Unfinished Reverie has an ATK two-piece bonus and a four-piece damage bonus that changes based on combat status and nearby Burning opponents. Lavawalker increases damage against opponents affected by Pyro. Ocean-Hued Clam instead converts accumulated healing into nearby damage. Those sets depend on Burning, Pyro status, or healing respectively, and each has a different purpose from Brave Heart's high-target-HP condition.
What is the main limitation?
The 30% damage increase only applies when an opponent has more than 50% HP. Do not treat it as an unconditional four-piece bonus or continue counting it once the target is at half HP or below.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The four-piece damage increase applies only against opponents above 50% HP.
- The two-piece ATK bonus is unconditional, but does not remove the four-piece HP limitation.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Counting the 30% damage increase after an opponent reaches 50% HP or lower.
- Confusing the opponent's HP condition with the wearer's HP.
