Understand Deepwood Memories
Useful when…
- Increasing the wearer's Dendro damage with two pieces.
- Reducing targets' Dendro RES to support Dendro damage after a Skill or Burst hit.
How do the bonuses work?
Two pieces grant 15% Dendro DMG Bonus. With four pieces, targets hit by the wearer's Elemental Skill or Burst have their Dendro RES decreased by 30% for eight seconds. This effect can trigger while the wearer is off-field.
When is it useful?
Consider the four-piece effect when the wearer can hit targets with an Elemental Skill or Burst and the party benefits from those targets having reduced Dendro RES. Because it can trigger off-field, the wearer need not remain active for the effect to activate. The two-piece bonus directly benefits Dendro damage regardless of the four-piece trigger.
What do the comparison sets do instead?
Vourukasha's Glow grants HP and increases Elemental Skill and Burst damage, with further increases after the wearer takes damage. A Day Carved From Rising Winds grants ATK after several attack types hit and has an additional CRIT Rate condition tied to Witch's Homework. Ocean-Hued Clam converts accumulated healing into nearby damage. These effects do not reproduce Deepwood's Dendro RES reduction; they support different damage or healing mechanics.
What should you remember?
The four-piece effect requires the wearer's Elemental Skill or Burst to hit the target and lasts eight seconds. Its ability to trigger off-field does not remove that hit requirement, and the effect described is specifically a decrease to Dendro RES.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The four-piece resistance reduction requires a Skill or Burst hit and lasts eight seconds.
- Its resistance reduction specifically targets Dendro RES.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Assuming the resistance reduction applies without a Skill or Burst hitting the target.
- Treating Dendro RES reduction as a reduction to every element's resistance.
