Understand Desert Pavilion Chronicle
Useful when…
- Increasing Anemo damage with two pieces.
- Buffing Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attacks after a Charged Attack hits.
What activates the four-piece effect?
Two pieces grant 15% Anemo DMG Bonus. With four pieces, a Charged Attack must hit an opponent. The wearer then gains 10% Normal Attack SPD and 40% Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attack DMG for 15 seconds.
How can the effect shape use?
The Charged Attack hit is the trigger; the listed bonuses then benefit Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attacks during the 15-second duration. Consider whether the wearer can use those attack types while the effect is active. The set's two-piece Anemo bonus remains separate from the four-piece trigger.
How do attack-focused comparisons differ?
Nymph's Dream builds ATK and Hydro DMG bonuses as different attack types and abilities hit opponents. Echoes of an Offering triggers a chance-based Normal Attack damage effect, with increased odds after a failure. Song of Days Past stores healing and converts it into a limited number of damage increases for active-party hits. These effects rely on different elements, attack types, or setup conditions and do not copy Desert Pavilion Chronicle's Charged Attack activation and timed attack window.
What should you avoid?
A Charged Attack must hit an opponent to start the 15-second effect. Do not treat the 40% attack damage bonus or 10% Normal Attack SPD as permanent, and do not apply them to attacks other than the Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attacks named by the set.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The four-piece window requires a Charged Attack hit and lasts 15 seconds.
- Its attack bonuses target Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attacks, while the two-piece bonus targets Anemo damage.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Assuming the four-piece buff activates without a Charged Attack hitting an opponent.
- Treating the timed attack bonuses as permanent or applying them to unlisted damage types.
