Understand Echoes of an Offering
Useful when…
- A Normal Attack damage build that can make many hits to benefit from the four-piece trigger.
- A two-piece ATK bonus paired with other artifact pieces.
How do its effects work?
Two pieces grant 18% ATK. With four pieces, a Normal Attack hit has a 36% chance to trigger Valley Rite, adding Normal Attack DMG equal to 70% of ATK. The effect is dispelled 0.05 seconds after a Normal Attack deals damage. If an attack fails to trigger it, the chance rises by 20% for the next opportunity. It can trigger once every 0.2 seconds.
Who can use the four-piece bonus?
The bonus is tied specifically to Normal Attack hits, so it favors builds that repeatedly use that attack type. The increasing chance after a failure helps subsequent eligible hits, but the 0.2-second trigger limit still applies. The supplied effect does not give an equivalent bonus for Charged Attacks, Plunging Attacks, Skills, or Bursts.
What are the alternatives?
Vermillion Hereafter also has a two-piece 18% ATK bonus, but its four-piece effect builds ATK after an Elemental Burst and HP decreases, with the effect ending when the character leaves the field. A Day Carved From Rising Winds grants a timed ATK increase after several kinds of hit and, with Witch’s Homework completed, also grants CRIT Rate. These bonuses have different conditions and should be judged against the wielder’s actual attack pattern.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The main four-piece payoff is limited to Normal Attacks.
- The bonus is chance-based and has a trigger interval, so its contribution is not a guaranteed extra effect on every hit.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Counting on Valley Rite for every Normal Attack hit; its base trigger chance is 36%.
- Applying its Normal Attack bonus to Charged or Plunging Attacks, Skills, or Bursts.
