Useful when…
- A Cryo damage build that can maintain zero Elemental Energy while using Normal Attacks or Bursts.
- A two-piece Cryo DMG bonus when assembling a mixed set.
What conditions govern the four-piece bonus?
Two pieces grant 15% Cryo DMG Bonus. With four pieces, while the equipping character has 0 Elemental Energy, Normal Attack DMG and Elemental Burst DMG each increase by 60%. After that character deals Normal Attack DMG, the Burst bonus stops applying for 6 seconds. After the character deals Elemental Burst DMG, the Normal Attack bonus stops applying for 6 seconds. The effect can trigger while the equipping character is off-field, but the zero-Energy condition still applies.
What should you consider before equipping it?
The zero-Energy requirement is central: if the character has any Elemental Energy, the stated four-piece bonuses do not apply. The two attack-type bonuses also suppress each other for six seconds after the corresponding damage is dealt. That creates a meaningful tradeoff for a character that regularly alternates Normal Attacks and Burst damage. Consider the set when its Energy condition is dependable and the character can use the supported attacks without undermining the desired bonus window.
How do the listed alternatives differ?
Vourukasha’s Glow grants HP at two pieces and boosts Skill and Burst DMG at four pieces, with damage taken increasing that bonus; it does not use a zero-Energy condition. A Day Carved From Rising Winds grants 18% ATK at two pieces and a timed ATK increase after several types of hits, with an additional CRIT Rate condition tied to Witch’s Homework. Song of Days Past is centered on Healing Bonus and records healing to enhance subsequent active-party damage. Their effects support different stats, actions, and conditions, so they are comparisons rather than automatic replacements.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The four-piece effect requires exactly 0 Elemental Energy.
- Dealing one supported attack type suppresses the other type’s bonus for 6 seconds.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Assuming the four-piece effect works whenever Energy is low; it requires 0 Elemental Energy.
- Using Normal Attack or Burst damage and overlooking the six-second suppression of the other bonus.
