Understand Nymph's Dream
Useful when…
- Hydro damage builds that use several listed hit types
- Wearers able to maintain Mirrored Nymph stacks
Bonuses and stack mechanics
Two pieces increase Hydro DMG Bonus by 15%. With four pieces, hits from Normal, Charged, or Plunging Attacks, Elemental Skills, and Elemental Bursts each trigger a Mirrored Nymph stack lasting 8 seconds. At one, two, or three or more stacks, the set increases ATK by 7%/16%/25% and Hydro DMG Bonus by 4%/9%/15%. Stacks created by those attack and ability categories exist independently.
Practical use
Using different listed hit types can build the stack tiers, but each stack category has its own duration. The wearer needs hits to trigger stacks, and an 8-second duration means the bonuses can drop if the relevant stack is not refreshed. The Hydro bonuses complement the two-piece effect; the ATK bonus is the other four-piece benefit.
Alternatives and tradeoffs
Long Night's Oath specifically improves Plunging Attack damage and uses plunge, Charged Attack, and Skill hits to build its plunge bonus. Vourukasha's Glow instead boosts Skill and Burst damage, with further increases after the wearer takes damage. Song of Days Past records healing and later adds damage to active-party hits. These sets fit different attack patterns and triggers rather than replacing Nymph's Hydro stack condition directly.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The four-piece bonuses require hits and last 8 seconds per stack.
- The set's elemental damage bonus is specifically Hydro DMG.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Treating all stack sources as one shared stack or timer; the listed attack and ability categories exist independently.
- Assuming the four-piece Hydro bonus applies to non-Hydro damage.
