Understand Heart of Depth
Useful when…
- A Hydro build that deals Normal or Charged Attack damage after using an Elemental Skill.
- A two-piece Hydro DMG bonus in a mixed set.
What do the set bonuses do?
Two pieces grant 15% Hydro DMG Bonus. Four pieces increase Normal Attack and Charged Attack DMG by 30% for 15 seconds after the wearer uses an Elemental Skill. The trigger is Skill use; the supplied effect does not say that a hit is required to activate the timer.
How should you use the four-piece window?
The set supports Normal and Charged Attacks, so it is best aligned with a damage plan that uses those attacks during the 15-second effect. The four-piece text does not grant a corresponding Plunging Attack, Skill, or Burst DMG bonus. The two-piece Hydro bonus is separate from the Skill-triggered window.
How do the listed comparisons differ?
Nymph’s Dream shares the two-piece 15% Hydro DMG Bonus but builds stacks after Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attacks, Skills, and Bursts hit opponents; those stacks raise ATK and Hydro DMG. Song of Days Past is a healing-oriented support effect: healing records an amount, then enhances up to five active-party damage hits after the recording period. A Day Carved From Rising Winds gives ATK after several kinds of hits and conditionally adds CRIT Rate for a wielder who has completed Witch’s Homework. Their conditions and supported damage differ from Heart of Depth’s post-Skill Normal and Charged Attack window.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The four-piece bonus lasts 15 seconds after Elemental Skill use.
- The stated attack bonus covers Normal and Charged Attacks, not every damage source.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Expecting the four-piece attack bonus without first using an Elemental Skill.
- Counting the 30% bonus as applying to Plunging Attacks, Skills, or Bursts.
