Understand Resolution of Sojourner
Useful when…
- Charged Attack-focused damage
- A four-piece set with direct ATK and Charged Attack CRIT bonuses
What do the set bonuses provide?
Two pieces grant 18% ATK. Four pieces increase Charged Attack CRIT Rate by 30%. The CRIT bonus is specific to Charged Attacks; it does not state a general CRIT Rate increase for other attacks.
When does it fit?
It is a straightforward option when the wearer’s damage plan relies on Charged Attacks and can use four pieces. Marechaussee Hunter instead grants Normal and Charged Attack DMG from two pieces and gains CRIT Rate when current HP rises or falls, up to three stacks. That alternative depends on HP changes, whereas Resolution’s four-piece bonus directly targets Charged Attack CRIT Rate.
What limits the bonus?
The four-piece CRIT Rate bonus does not benefit a rotation centered on other attack types to the same stated extent. A Day Carved From Rising Winds shares the 18% two-piece ATK bonus, but its four-piece effect requires a qualifying hit and grants ATK for 6 seconds; its additional CRIT Rate also requires Witch’s Homework completion. The bonuses have distinct conditions and should be compared against the wearer’s actual attack pattern.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The four-piece CRIT Rate applies only to Charged Attacks.
- The two-piece ATK bonus is general, but the defining four-piece effect is attack-specific.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Counting the 30% Charged Attack CRIT Rate as general CRIT Rate for every damage source.
- Choosing the set for a build that rarely uses Charged Attacks.
