Understand Collei
Useful when…
- Applying Dendro with a boomerang-like Skill that hits on its outward and return paths.
- Creating a six-second AoE Dendro Burst zone.
- Extending that zone when characters inside trigger listed Dendro reactions.
Skill and reaction condition
Floral Brush throws a ring that deals Dendro damage once on contact and again when it returns; its cooldown is 12 seconds. If a party member has triggered Burning, Quicken, Aggravate, Spread, Bloom, Hyperbloom, Burgeon, or Lunar-Bloom before the ring returns, the returning ring grants Sprout. Sprout continuously deals Dendro damage equal to 40% of Collei's ATK to nearby opponents for three seconds, and that damage counts as Elemental Skill damage. Triggering another Sprout during its initial duration removes the earlier effect, so the timing and return of the ring matter.
Burst and field extension
Trump-Card Kitty deals AoE Dendro damage on its initial explosion, then Cuilein-Anbar bounces within its zone for six seconds. Its cooldown is 15 seconds and energy cost is 60. When a character inside the zone triggers any of the same listed reactions, its duration increases by one second, up to three added seconds per Burst. This makes reaction activity inside the zone directly relevant to keeping its Dendro damage active. Her fully charged aimed bow shot also deals Dendro damage, while her ordinary attacks and uncharged aimed shot do not have that stated element.
Talent investment and exploration
Combat2 improves the Skill hits and the Sprout damage, which is classified as Skill damage. Combat3 improves the Burst and its repeated zone hits. Normal Attack investment is a lower priority if Collei mainly uses her Skill and Burst, but is relevant if she spends time using bow attacks. Her passive reduces gliding Stamina consumption for the party by 20%; it does not stack with another passive providing the exact same effect. Ascension includes Rukkhashava Mushrooms and Majestic Hooked Beak among the listed materials.
Common execution errors
The Skill's reaction condition must be met before the ring returns; triggering a reaction only after that return does not satisfy the stated condition. Reapplying Sprout during its initial three seconds removes the first effect rather than preserving both. Burst extension requires a qualifying reaction inside Cuilein-Anbar's zone and is capped at three seconds per Burst.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Sprout depends on a listed reaction occurring before the Skill ring returns.
- The Burst begins at six seconds and gains at most three seconds from reaction triggers.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Triggering the reaction after the Floral Ring has returned and expecting Sprout.
- Overwriting an active Sprout by triggering another during its initial duration.
- Expecting the Burst to extend beyond three bonus seconds.
