Understand Dori
Useful when…
- Use Alcazarzaray’s Exactitude to sustain a connected character and regenerate Energy.
- Use the connection line’s Electro damage when opponents can be positioned along it.
- Use the skill’s tracking follow-up rounds for additional Electro hits.
Jinni connection and burst conditions
Alcazarzaray’s Exactitude summons one Jinni at a time for 12 seconds. It connects to a nearby character, who continuously receives HP restoration based on Dori’s Max HP, Energy regeneration, and Electro application. When the connector touches opponents, it deals one instance of Electro damage every 0.4 seconds. The burst has a 20-second cooldown and costs 80 Energy, so it is a substantial Energy commitment for the healing and regeneration it provides. An Eye for Gold reduces the skill’s cooldown by one second when the connected character triggers one of its listed Electro-related reactions, once every three seconds. The reaction condition specifically depends on the connected character; the passive does not say that any party member’s reaction will trigger it.
Skill and Energy restoration passive
Spirit-Warding Lamp: Troubleshooter Cannon fires an Electro shot; after it hits, two After-Sales Service Rounds automatically track nearby opponents and deal Electro damage. Its listed cooldown is nine seconds. Compound Interest restores Dori’s Energy when the skill’s shot or follow-up rounds hit: five Energy for every 100% Energy Recharge she has, with at most 15 Energy restored per skill use. Only one Energy-restoration instance can trigger per use of the skill. This makes the skill’s hits relevant to her own Energy as well as its Electro damage, but the stated cap prevents treating multiple projectile hits as unlimited Energy recovery.
Investment priorities
The burst is the central talent to improve when Dori’s healing and Energy regeneration are the reason she is in the party. Raise the skill if you also value its shot damage and use its hits to trigger Compound Interest. Normal Attack levels affect her separate claymore attack pattern, which includes a three-hit sequence and a stamina-draining spinning charged attack; they are less relevant if she rarely attacks on field. Each combat talent track reaches level 10. The listed level 9-to-10 example costs 700,000 Mora, 16 Philosophies of Ingenuity, 12 Rich Red Brocade, two Bloodjade Branch, and one Crown of Insight. Her crafting passive has a 25% chance to recover some materials when crafting Character and Weapon Materials; that is a crafting benefit rather than a combat effect.
Limits and alternatives
The Jinni connection targets a nearby character and only one Jinni can exist at a time. The connector’s damage requires it to touch opponents, so its presence does not mean it will automatically hit every nearby enemy. Ororon and Sethos are Electro bow users, while Razor is an Electro claymore user. Their shared element, or Razor’s shared weapon, does not establish that they replace Dori’s linked healing and Energy regeneration.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Her 80-Energy burst has a 20-second cooldown, so the support package depends on access to that burst.
- Connector damage requires contact with opponents; the Jinni’s healing and Energy support do not imply automatic damage to all nearby targets.
- The skill Energy passive has a 15-Energy maximum per skill use.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Assuming Compound Interest grants Energy on every projectile hit; only one instance can trigger per skill use, up to 15 Energy.
- Expecting An Eye for Gold to trigger from a reaction by any character; its condition names the character connected to the Jinni.
- Assuming the connecting line damages opponents without touching them.
