Understand A Little Getaway
Useful when…
- An Elation wearer that uses Elation Skills to deal damage.
- A build seeking both Elation and conditional DEF ignore during Elation Skill use.
What does it do?
At S1, it grants 20% Elation and its wearer’s Elation Skills ignore 8% of the target’s DEF during use. At S5, those figures rise to 40% Elation and 16% DEF ignore. The DEF effect is tied to using an Elation Skill; it is not described as a persistent DEF reduction for all attacks.
Which use cases differ?
Mushy Shroomy’s Adventures grants Elation and causes all enemies to take more Elation damage for two turns after its wearer uses an Elation Skill. Today’s Good Luck grants CRIT Rate and builds Elation stacks through Elation Skill uses. Colors for Tomorrow instead has a team-wide damage-taken effect when the wearer uses an Elation Skill on all allies, plus Energy and healing. Elation Brimming With Blessings raises ATK and grants Elation to an ally targeted by the wearer’s Skill or Ultimate. Choose among them based on the actual trigger and purpose, rather than rarity alone.
How should it be invested in?
Promotion advances the Cone through six stages. Superimposition increases both Elation and the DEF-ignore value; each listed step consumes one S1 copy. Promotion is the route for level progression. Raising superimposition is most relevant when you want its two effect values to increase and have copies available.
What is the key limitation?
The DEF ignore applies during the wearer’s Elation Skill use. It does not state a bonus for their other attack types, so do not extend the effect to Basic ATKs or Ultimates without separate support.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The DEF ignore is specific to Elation Skill use.
- Superimposition consumes duplicate copies.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Treating DEF ignore as active for every attack.
- Confusing DEF ignore during an Elation Skill with enemies taking more Elation damage for a duration.
- Choosing by rarity without checking the effect trigger.
