Along the Passing Shore GUIDE
Understand Along the Passing Shore
Useful when…
- A damage-focused Nihility wearer who benefits from CRIT DMG.
- A wearer whose Ultimate is a meaningful part of their damage.
How do Mirage Fizzle and the bonuses work?
At S1, the wearer gains 36% CRIT DMG. When they hit an enemy, they inflict Mirage Fizzle on that target for 1 turn; each attack can trigger this effect only once per target. The wearer then deals 24% more damage to targets with Mirage Fizzle, and their Ultimate damage against those targets receives an additional 24% increase. Superimposition raises these listed values, reaching 60% CRIT DMG and 40% for each damage bonus at S5.
When is it a useful fit?
The damage bonus follows the wearer’s own hits, so the Light Cone can apply its mark as the wearer attacks. The Ultimate-specific bonus makes it particularly relevant when the wearer deals a substantial share of damage through their Ultimate. Before the Tutorial Mission Starts instead supplies Effect Hit Rate and restores Energy when attacking DEF-reduced enemies; Boundless Choreo supplies CRIT Rate and improves CRIT DMG against Slowed or DEF-reduced targets. These are distinct effects, so compare their conditions with the wearer’s build rather than treating them as identical substitutes.
How should copies and promotion be considered?
Promotion advances the Light Cone through six stages. Superimposition takes one S1 copy for each step and strengthens the listed CRIT DMG and damage bonuses. Promotion is a direct level investment; additional copies are a separate, copy-consuming route for raising passive values. Consider the latter when the wearer reliably attacks marked targets and makes use of Ultimate damage.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Mirage Fizzle lasts only 1 turn and each attack can apply it once per target.
- Its damage bonuses benefit the wearer against marked targets, not allies.
- Superimposition requires additional copies.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Assuming each hit within one attack independently reapplies Mirage Fizzle; the effect can trigger only once per target per attack.
- Overlooking that the extra Ultimate damage applies against targets afflicted with Mirage Fizzle.
