Understand Boundless Choreo
Useful when…
- A wearer who can benefit from the CRIT Rate increase and deal CRIT damage.
- Fighting targets that are Slowed or have reduced DEF to activate the additional CRIT DMG.
What effects are active?
The wearer gains 8% CRIT Rate at S1, rising to 16% at S5. Against enemies currently Slowed or with reduced DEF, the wearer deals 24% more CRIT DMG at S1, up to 48% at S5. The target condition applies to the additional CRIT DMG; the CRIT Rate bonus is not stated to require it.
When should I use it?
Consider it when the wearer can make use of CRIT stats and the battle setup can keep enemies Slowed or DEF-reduced. If neither condition is present, the conditional CRIT DMG does not apply, though the CRIT Rate remains. Along the Passing Shore marks targets when the wearer hits them and gives increased damage against marked targets. Before the Tutorial Mission Starts favors Effect Hit Rate and restores Energy against DEF-reduced enemies. Eyes of the Prey gives Effect Hit Rate and DoT bonuses. These options have distinct conditions and damage focuses.
What should I upgrade?
Promotion improves the Light Cone’s level. Superimposition increases CRIT Rate and the conditional CRIT DMG amount; each step consumes a duplicate copy. Improving it is most relevant when the wearer benefits from CRIT stats and targets commonly meet one of the listed conditions.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The additional CRIT DMG requires a Slowed or DEF-reduced target.
- It is CRIT-focused rather than a stated DoT bonus.
- Superimposition consumes duplicate copies.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Assuming the extra CRIT DMG applies to every enemy.
- Treating Slow and DEF reduction as both necessary; either condition is sufficient.
- Assuming the CRIT Rate bonus turns off when the target condition is absent.
