Carve the Moon, Weave the Clouds GUIDE
Understand Carve the Moon, Weave the Clouds
Useful when…
- Consider it when the team can use any of its rotating buffs.
How does the rotation work?
At battle start and whenever the wearer's turn begins, one effect is selected at random: ATK +10%, CRIT DMG +12%, or Energy Regeneration Rate +6% at S1. At S5, these become 20%, 24%, and 12%. The next effect cannot match the last and replaces it. The effect is removed if the wearer is knocked down.
How predictable are the benefits?
The wearer cannot choose which buff appears. A Grounded Ascent grants a stack to the ally targeted by Skill or Ultimate and restores wearer Energy. But the Battle Isn't Over grants Energy Regeneration, conditional Skill Point recovery, and a next-ally damage effect after Skill. Chorus gives allies an ATK increase after battle entry, and effects of the same type cannot stack.
What can be upgraded?
Promotion advances the Light Cone through six stages. Superimposition increases each possible buff; supplied examples show a sacrifice copy for selected steps. Superimposition does not change the listed random selection, replacement, or removal when the wearer is knocked down.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The buff is random and each new buff replaces the previous one.
- The effect is removed if the wearer is knocked down; same-type effects cannot stack.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Assuming the same buff remains when the wearer's next turn begins.
- Counting same-type effects as stacked.
