Understand Epoch Etched in Golden Blood
Useful when…
- Support an ally whose damage comes from Skill, by using the wearer’s Skill on them.
- Recover a Skill Point after the wearer uses an attacking Ultimate.
Effects and their triggers
At S1, the wearer gains 64% ATK. Using an Ultimate to attack restores 1 Skill Point. Separately, using the wearer’s Skill on one ally increases that target’s Skill DMG by 54% for 3 turns. At S5, the ATK increase is 128% and the Skill DMG increase is 108%; the Skill Point recovery amount and buff duration remain 1 and 3 turns. The Ultimate must attack, while the Skill buff requires a single ally target.
When its support fits
The buff supports the selected ally’s Skill damage, so it is most relevant when that ally uses Skill attacks during the three-turn window. The separate Skill Point effect depends on the wearer’s Ultimate attacking; an Ultimate that does not attack does not meet the stated trigger. The Light Cone’s ATK increase is a wearer stat and does not itself specify an additional team buff.
Investment and comparison
Promotion advances the Light Cone’s level using Credits and listed materials. Superimposition improves its numeric effects and consumes duplicate copies. A Grounded Ascent also supports one ally through Skill or Ultimate use, but grants Energy and a stacking DMG buff, with Skill Point recovery after every two qualifying uses. But the Battle Isn’t Over instead gives Energy Regeneration Rate and has its own Ultimate and Skill Point conditions. Neither comparison duplicates this Light Cone’s specific Skill DMG buff.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The Skill DMG increase only follows a Skill used on one ally character.
- Skill Point recovery requires an Ultimate that attacks; the effect is not described as unconditional.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Assuming any Ultimate recovers a Skill Point; it must be used to attack.
- Expecting the Skill DMG buff to affect the whole team; it targets the single ally selected by the wearer’s Skill.
