Flowing Nightglow

Harmony Light Cone that cycles from energy regeneration to a team damage buff

Introduced in v2.2

Flowing Nightglow builds Energy Regeneration Rate as allies attack, then trades those stacks for a one-turn team damage buff when the wearer uses their Ultimate. Consider it when the party attacks often enough to build Cantillation and the wearer can use their Ultimate to activate Cadenza.

Flowing Nightglow GUIDE

Understand Flowing Nightglow

Useful when…

  • A Harmony wearer in a party where allies attack frequently.
  • A team that can make use of a one-turn increase to all allies’ damage dealt.

How does its two-stage effect work?

Each time an ally attacks, the wearer gains one Cantillation stack. Each stack increases the wearer’s Energy Regeneration Rate by 3% at S1, up to 5 stacks. When the wearer uses their Ultimate, Cantillation is removed and Cadenza begins: the wearer gains 48% ATK and all allies gain 24% damage dealt for 1 turn. At S5, each Cantillation stack gives 5% Energy Regeneration Rate, while Cadenza grants 96% ATK to the wearer and 40% damage dealt to allies for 1 turn.

What party pattern makes it useful?

Frequent ally attacks build the wearer’s Energy Regeneration Rate before the Ultimate; using that Ultimate consumes the accumulated Cantillation and starts the brief team buff. This creates a buildup-and-release pattern, so the value depends on both party attacks and the wearer’s ability to activate the Ultimate at a useful time. A Grounded Ascent instead grants Energy and a DMG-dealt stack to the ally targeted by the wearer’s Skill or Ultimate, with a Skill Point after every two such uses. But the Battle Isn’t Over grants Energy Regeneration Rate and has its own Ultimate-triggered Skill Point condition. Those alternatives focus on different triggers and resource effects.

How should it be upgraded?

Promotion advances the Light Cone through six stages. Superimposition consumes one S1 copy per step and raises the Energy Regeneration Rate per stack and the bonuses during Cadenza. Consider promotion for level progression; extra copies are a more targeted investment if the wearer can regularly build stacks and make use of the one-turn team buff.

Limitations and tradeoffs

  • Cantillation is removed when the wearer uses their Ultimate.
  • Cadenza lasts 1 turn, so its timing affects how much of the team can benefit.
  • Superimposition requires additional copies.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Expecting Cantillation to remain after the wearer’s Ultimate; the Ultimate consumes it.
  • Treating the team damage bonus as a lasting buff; Cadenza lasts 1 turn.
