Understand Holiday Thermae Escapade
Useful when…
- A Nihility wearer who attacks enemies and benefits from increased personal DMG.
- A party that can focus on targets affected by the Light Cone's Vulnerability.
Effect and application
At S1, the wearer deals 16% more DMG. After the wearer attacks, there is a 100% base chance to inflict Vulnerability on the attacked target, increasing the DMG it receives by 10% for 2 turns. At S5, the wearer's DMG bonus is 32%, and Vulnerability increases target DMG taken by 16%. Effects of the same type cannot stack. The stated base chance is not a guarantee against every target because the text specifies a base chance.
Alternatives by role
Along the Passing Shore increases CRIT DMG and applies Mirage Fizzle when the wearer hits an enemy, then increases the wearer's DMG against affected targets and Ultimate DMG. Before the Tutorial Mission Starts focuses on Effect Hit Rate and restores Energy when the wearer attacks DEF-reduced enemies. Boundless Choreo grants CRIT Rate and increases CRIT DMG against enemies that are Slowed or have reduced DEF. These options differ in whether they emphasize personal damage, Energy, or a specific enemy condition.
Improvement priorities
Promotion improves the Light Cone through stages 0–6. Superimposition advances it from S1 to S5 using one sacrifice copy at each listed step, raising the personal DMG bonus and the Vulnerability amount. Promotion improves the equipped copy directly. Consider superimposition if stronger Vulnerability and personal damage are worth using duplicate copies.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Vulnerability applies to the attacked target and lasts 2 turns.
- Effects of the same type cannot stack.
- Its 100% value is a base chance, not a stated guarantee regardless of target.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Treating the Vulnerability base chance as an unconditional guarantee.
- Expecting multiple effects of the same type to stack on the target.
