Understand Mediation
Useful when…
- A Harmony wearer whose team benefits from an opening SPD boost.
- A short initial boost is useful even without a stated ongoing team buff.
What does it grant?
Upon entering battle, all allies gain 12 SPD points at S1 or 20 SPD points at S5 for one turn. The bonus is a flat number of SPD points, not a percentage increase. The described effect is limited to entry into battle and has a one-turn duration.
When should you consider it?
Use it when an opening speed increase can help the team act earlier. Do not plan around it as a sustained SPD buff: the described duration is one turn, and no recurring trigger is specified. A Grounded Ascent builds stacks of damage for the targeted ally after Skill or Ultimate use on one ally and restores Skill Points after enough such uses. But the Battle Isn't Over has Energy Regeneration Rate and can restore a Skill Point under its Ultimate condition. Carve the Moon, Weave the Clouds instead cycles among random team buffs at battle start and the wearer's turn beginnings.
Investment considerations
Promotion advances the Light Cone through six stages; the supplied examples list Credit and Harmony or Core materials for selected stages. Superimposition raises the opening SPD from 12 to 20 points, with the duration remaining one turn. Consider promotion for base stats, and superimposition if the stronger opening boost changes useful action timing.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The team SPD effect lasts only one turn.
- The effect is an opening boost, not a recurring buff.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Treating the listed SPD as a percentage.
- Expecting the one-turn opening bonus to recur throughout battle.
