Understand Memories of the Past
Useful when…
- A Harmony wearer whose build values Break Effect.
- A wearer who can attack and benefit from additional Energy, subject to the once-per-turn limit.
What are its effects and limits?
At S1, it increases Break Effect by 28% and restores 4 Energy when the wearer attacks. At S5, those values become 56% and 8 Energy. The Energy effect cannot trigger repeatedly in a single turn, so multiple attacks within one turn do not each grant the listed recovery.
When might another Harmony Light Cone fit better?
A Grounded Ascent restores Energy after the wearer uses Skill or Ultimate on one ally and gives that target a stacking damage increase; after every two such ability uses, it recovers a Skill Point. But the Battle Isn't Over increases the wearer's Energy Regeneration Rate and can restore a Skill Point when the wearer uses an Ultimate on an ally, subject to its stated frequency limit. Carve the Moon, Weave the Clouds applies one of three team buffs at battle start and the wearer's turn start, replacing its previous buff. These options support different actions and effects; they are not direct equivalents to attack-triggered Energy plus Break Effect.
Where should investment go?
Promotion raises the Light Cone through six stages. Superimposition increases both Break Effect and the amount of Energy restored, from S1 to S5; the example steps consume a copy of Memories of the Past. Raising superimposition is most directly relevant when the wearer makes practical use of both the Break Effect and capped attack-triggered recovery.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Energy recovery is limited to once in a turn, even if the wearer attacks more than once.
- Its listed damage stat is Break Effect, rather than a general damage or team damage bonus.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Expecting multiple attacks in one turn to trigger the Energy effect multiple times.
- Confusing Energy restored on an attack with an Energy Regeneration Rate increase.
