Understand Planetary Rendezvous
Useful when…
- A Harmony wearer paired with an ally who deals the same damage type.
- A support setup where a conditional damage increase is useful.
Who receives the benefit?
After entering battle, if an ally deals the same DMG Type as the wearer, that ally's DMG dealt increases by 12% at S1, rising to 24% at S5. The condition is a matching damage type; the effect description does not say the wearer must use a particular ability after battle begins.
How do the listed alternatives differ?
A Grounded Ascent builds a damage increase on an ally when its wearer uses Skill or Ultimate on that ally, and can also restore Skill Points after repeated qualifying uses. But the Battle Isn't Over grants Energy Regeneration Rate and has an Ultimate-on-an-ally trigger for Skill Point recovery; its Skill also buffs the next ally taking action. Carve the Moon, Weave the Clouds rotates among random team ATK, CRIT DMG, or Energy Regeneration Rate effects as its wearer takes turns. These have action-dependent or rotating effects, unlike Planetary Rendezvous's damage-type match condition.
What does superimposition change?
Promotion raises the Light Cone through six stages. Superimposition increases the matching-type damage bonus from S1 through S5; the example steps consume a copy of Planetary Rendezvous. Its benefit is conditional on damage type, so raising the percentage matters only for allies that satisfy that condition.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Allies without the wearer's damage type do not meet the stated condition.
- It does not list a general team buff to every ally regardless of damage type.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Assuming the bonus applies to all allies regardless of damage type.
- Confusing the damage-type condition with a requirement for a particular attack or turn.
