Reforged in Hellfire GUIDE
Understand Reforged in Hellfire
Useful when…
- Nihility wearer whose Skill attacks enemies and whose damage benefits from increased CRIT DMG taken.
- Encounters with multiple waves, where the once-per-wave Energy refund can trigger again.
What does it do?
It increases the wearer’s Max HP. At the start of the wearer’s turn, it restores 20 Energy once per wave. After the wearer uses an attacking Skill, the target gains Purgatory for two turns; while affected, it receives increased CRIT DMG from all sources and an additional increase from this wearer. The exact percentages depend on superimposition.
Who can use its effect?
The debuff requires a Skill that attacks a target. A wearer whose Skill does not attack cannot apply Purgatory through this effect. Its CRIT DMG bonuses are most directly useful when the wearer or allies deal CRIT damage during the two-turn window.
How should it be improved?
Promotion raises the Light Cone’s level; superimposition increases its listed effect values and consumes another copy. Consider promotion for the wearer’s Light Cone stats, then weigh copies against retaining them separately before pursuing higher superimposition.
How does it compare?
Along the Passing Shore provides CRIT DMG and a hit-triggered damage bonus, with an additional Ultimate bonus; it does not require an attacking Skill to apply its own hit-triggered status. Before the Tutorial Mission Starts instead supplies Effect Hit Rate and refunds Energy when attacking DEF-reduced enemies. These are different mechanics, so compare the conditions your wearer can meet.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Purgatory requires an attacking Skill and is target-specific.
- Max HP is not itself a damage bonus.
- Copy-based superimposition uses another copy.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Assuming a non-attacking Skill applies Purgatory.
- Treating the once-per-wave Energy refund as an every-turn effect.
