Understand Reforged Remembrance
Useful when…
- Increasing the wearer's Effect Hit Rate.
- Supporting DoT damage when enemies have the named Wind Shear, Burn, Shock, or Bleed effects.
Prophet stacks and limits
At S1, the wearer gains 40% Effect Hit Rate. When they deal DMG to an enemy afflicted with Wind Shear, Burn, Shock, or Bleed, that DoT type grants 1 Prophet stack. Prophet caps at 4 stacks, and each DoT type can grant only 1 stack per battle. Each stack grants 5% ATK and enables DoT dealt to ignore 7.2% of the target's DEF. At S5, Effect Hit Rate is 60%, each stack grants 9% ATK and DoT ignores 10% DEF. The stack limit and one-per-type-per-battle rule remain.
Practical use and alternatives
The wearer must deal DMG to an enemy already afflicted with one of the listed DoTs to gain that type's Prophet stack. Repeatedly applying the same DoT type does not grant repeated stacks in that battle. Before the Tutorial Mission Starts boosts Effect Hit Rate and regenerates Energy when the wearer attacks DEF-reduced enemies. Boundless Choreo gives CRIT Rate and extra CRIT DMG against slowed enemies or those with reduced DEF. Along the Passing Shore instead provides CRIT DMG and damage bonuses against targets it marks with Mirage Fizzle. These options have distinct damage profiles and triggers; the CRIT-focused candidates do not replicate Prophet's DoT effect.
Investment
Promotion raises the Light Cone's level. Superimposition improves Effect Hit Rate, ATK per Prophet stack, and DoT DEF ignore per stack; the 4-stack cap and one stack per named DoT per battle remain unchanged. Promotion is the general progression choice. Higher superimposition matters most when multiple eligible DoTs are reliably available and the stronger per-stack effects justify using another copy.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Prophet requires the wearer to deal DMG to an enemy that already has a listed DoT.
- Each named DoT type grants only one stack per battle.
- The DoT DEF ignore is distinct from a general DEF reduction effect.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Expecting repeated applications of one DoT type to grant multiple Prophet stacks in one battle.
- Assuming damage to an uninflicted enemy grants a stack before the named DoT is present.
- Treating the effect as a general DEF reduction rather than DEF ignore for DoT dealt.
