Honkai: Star Rail · Light Cone

Void

Nihility Light Cone that temporarily increases the wearer’s Effect Hit Rate at battle start.

Introduced in v1.0

Void raises its wearer’s Effect Hit Rate by 20%–40% for three turns at the start of battle. Its value depends on whether the wearer benefits from the boost during that opening window.

Understand Void

Useful when…

  • Provide a temporary Effect Hit Rate boost during the opening three turns.
  • Use when the wearer’s early actions benefit from increased Effect Hit Rate.

What are the effect and duration?

At battle start, the wearer gains 20% Effect Hit Rate at S1, increasing to 40% at S5. The increase lasts for three turns. No recurring trigger that renews the effect is stated.

How can you invest in it?

Promotion advances the Light Cone through stages 0–6. Superimposition advances it from S1 to S5 using one S1 Void copy at each listed step. The Effect Hit Rate bonus lasts three turns, so its value depends on the wearer’s use for that opening window.

Which listed effects work differently?

Before the Tutorial Mission Starts provides Effect Hit Rate and restores Energy when its wearer attacks enemies with reduced DEF. Boundless Choreo increases CRIT Rate and gives more CRIT DMG against enemies that are Slowed or have reduced DEF. Along the Passing Shore applies Mirage Fizzle when its wearer hits an enemy and increases damage against affected targets, with an additional Ultimate damage increase. These effects differ from Void’s battle-start bonus.

Limitations and tradeoffs

  • The Effect Hit Rate bonus expires after three turns.
  • The effect is tied to battle start rather than a repeated action.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Assuming the Effect Hit Rate bonus continues beyond three turns.
  • Treating the battle-start effect as something that refreshes whenever the wearer attacks.
