Belobog of the Architects

A defensive two-piece Planar Ornament set that raises DEF. Consider it for a wearer who benefits from DEF, especially if their Effect Hit Rate can reach 50%.

Introduced in v1.0

Belobog of the Architects gives the wearer 15% DEF from its two-piece effect. At 50% Effect Hit Rate or higher, it adds another 15% DEF. Its value depends on using DEF and, for the full bonus, reaching the Effect Hit Rate threshold.

Understand Belobog of the Architects

Useful when…

  • Building a wearer who scales with DEF or needs more DEF for durability.
  • Using a wearer whose build already reaches 50% Effect Hit Rate, or can do so without giving up more important stats.

What does the set require?

The set has a single two-piece bonus: 15% DEF, plus another 15% DEF if the wearer's Effect Hit Rate is at least 50%. The threshold is a condition for the extra DEF; the first 15% applies without it.

When is it useful?

Consider it when the wearer benefits from DEF for damage scaling or staying power. Reaching 50% Effect Hit Rate makes the set's defensive bonus larger, but that target is only sensible if the wearer can reach it without undermining the rest of the build.

How does it compare with other ornaments?

Inert Salsotto gives CRIT Rate and boosts Ultimate and Follow-Up ATK damage once CRIT Rate reaches 50%; Rutilant Arena instead boosts Basic ATK and Skill damage at 70% CRIT Rate. Those sets serve damage profiles that benefit from their specific attack bonuses, rather than Belobog's DEF increase.

What should you avoid?

Do not count on the extra 15% DEF below 50% Effect Hit Rate. Also avoid choosing the set just for its largest listed DEF bonus if the wearer does not make practical use of DEF.

Limitations and tradeoffs

  • The additional DEF depends on a 50% Effect Hit Rate threshold.
  • The set's defensive stat may contribute little to a wearer who does not benefit from DEF.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Assuming the second DEF bonus applies below 50% Effect Hit Rate.
  • Chasing the threshold without considering whether the wearer benefits from DEF.

Effects and reference details

2-piece bonus

Increases the wearer's DEF by 15%. When the wearer's Effect Hit Rate is 50% or higher, the wearer gains an extra 15% DEF.
