Understand Rutilant Arena
Useful when…
- A wearer who deals damage through Basic ATK and Skill and reaches 70% current CRIT Rate.
- A wearer who benefits from the 8% CRIT Rate even when below the conditional threshold.
What does the two-piece effect do?
It increases CRIT Rate by 8%. When the wearer's current CRIT Rate reaches 70% or higher, Basic ATK and Skill damage increases by 20%. The attack bonus is conditional and applies to the named attack types.
When does it fit?
Consider it for a wearer who relies on Basic ATK or Skill damage and can meet 70% current CRIT Rate. The 8% CRIT Rate applies regardless, but below the threshold the 20% damage increase does not.
Which other damage profile might fit better?
Inert Salsotto also gives 8% CRIT Rate, but its conditional 15% increase applies to Ultimate and Follow-Up ATK damage at 50% current CRIT Rate. Celestial Differentiator instead gives CRIT DMG and a temporary CRIT Rate boost through the first attack if current CRIT DMG reaches 120%. Choose based on the actual attack types and conditions involved.
What should you avoid?
Do not count the 20% damage increase below 70% current CRIT Rate, or apply it to Ultimate and Follow-Up ATKs simply because those attacks deal damage.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The damage bonus requires 70% current CRIT Rate.
- The bonus is limited to Basic ATK and Skill damage.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Counting the 20% damage increase before reaching 70% current CRIT Rate.
- Applying the bonus to attack types the set does not name.
