Understand Inert Salsotto
Useful when…
- A wearer whose damage includes Ultimate or Follow-Up ATK and whose current CRIT Rate reaches 50%.
- A wearer who can use the 8% CRIT Rate even when the conditional damage increase is not active.
What are the effect and condition?
The two-piece bonus adds 8% CRIT Rate. Once the wearer's current CRIT Rate reaches 50% or more, damage dealt by their Ultimate and Follow-Up ATK increases by 15%. The extra damage applies to those named attack types, not automatically to every attack.
Who benefits from the attack bonus?
Consider Salsotto when the wearer makes meaningful use of Ultimate or Follow-Up ATK damage and can meet the CRIT Rate threshold. If the wearer mainly deals damage through Basic ATK and Skill, Rutilant Arena's conditional bonus targets those attack types instead, though it requires 70% current CRIT Rate.
How does it compare with other options?
Celestial Differentiator offers 16% CRIT DMG and, at 120% current CRIT DMG, 60% CRIT Rate through the wearer's first attack. That is an opening-attack effect, unlike Salsotto's attack-type damage bonus. The two sets address different build conditions.
What should you avoid?
Do not assume Salsotto increases all damage: its conditional bonus names Ultimate and Follow-Up ATK. Check current CRIT Rate against the 50% threshold before counting on that bonus.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The 15% damage increase requires 50% current CRIT Rate.
- The conditional bonus is restricted to Ultimate and Follow-Up ATK damage.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Counting the 15% increase toward Basic ATK, Skill, or other damage types.
- Overlooking the 50% current CRIT Rate condition.
