Understand Bone Collection's Serene Demesne
Useful when…
- Consider it for a wearer whose Max HP can reach 5,000 and whose damage can benefit from CRIT DMG.
- Use it when the 12% Max HP bonus is useful even if the threshold for the extra bonus is not met.
What is the threshold?
The two-piece effect increases the wearer's Max HP by 12%. At 5,000 Max HP or higher, it also increases the CRIT DMG of both the wearer and their memosprite by 28%. The threshold is based on the wearer's Max HP; below it, the CRIT DMG bonus does not apply.
How should you evaluate the bonus?
Check the wearer's Max HP against 5,000 with the set equipped. If the threshold is met, both the wearer and their memosprite receive the stated CRIT DMG increase. If it is not met, weigh the set based on its Max HP increase rather than counting the conditional CRIT DMG.
How do the alternatives differ?
Celestial Differentiator grants CRIT DMG and has a separate CRIT Rate condition at 120% current CRIT DMG that lasts through the wearer's first attack. Giant Tree of Rapt Brooding offers SPD and threshold-based outgoing healing, while Arcadia of Woven Dreams scales damage according to ally count. Their stat targets and triggers differ from Bone Collection's HP threshold.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The CRIT DMG bonus requires at least 5,000 Max HP on the wearer.
- Below the threshold, the set still gives Max HP but not its stated CRIT DMG benefit.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Assuming the 28% CRIT DMG applies when the wearer is below 5,000 Max HP.
- Treating the Max HP threshold as a memosprite stat check; it is the wearer's Max HP that must reach 5,000.
